I’m really bothered by the fact this is getting any negative comments let alone so many. Drawing the same face over and over is an awful habit. Yes people can draw what they want and be as lazy as they please, but why is it bad to be bothered by it? It’s especially bothersome when the artist has such strong potential in other areas.

I’ve said this before in response to one of these confessions, I’ll probably say it countless times since I respond to so many of them - We can’t control what other people do with their art but we still have a right to be bothered by something. People act like people who complain about this kind of thing sit here and obsess about it with each piece or artist instead of simply spending a moment to think of how something looks bad and it’s a shame because they could do better or how it’s a shame that so many people fall into such awful habits.

So you can draw the same face over and over and you can continue to be okay with your boringness, but be willing to accept that other people will think it looks awful. No, you don’t have to please them, but if you don’t care if they like it or not then stop caring if they complain in a general sense like this is doing. If you’re not out to satisfy other people then don’t care when those people don’t like something you do.
